Il existe sur Elvenar 5 unités spécifiques aux deux races de départ qui peuvent être entraînées dans la [[Caserne]]. Les deux races de départ partagent également 10 unités supplémentaires qui peuvent être entraînées dans le [[Terrain d'entraînement]] et le [[Camp des mercenaires]]. Les unités humaines et elfiques sont de force égale, mais leurs stratégies varient.
Elvenar est un monde paisible ! Toutefois, afin de renforcer et maintenir cette paix, vous aurez parfois besoin de remporter quelques combats.
Chaque race démarre avec des unités de mêlée légères : chez les humains, elles sont fortes mais leur défense est faible, tandis que l'unité elfique est plus équilibrée.
Comme cela a été précédemment noté, afin de collecter des reliques, vous aurez besoin d’améliorer le développement de votre ville. Pour ce faire, vous devrez découvrir de nouvelles provinces, où vous entrerez en contact avec les tribus qui possèdent ces fameuses reliques.
Par la suite, chaque race débloque des unités de courte portée, des mages, des unités de portée puis de mêlée lourde.
À ce moment-là, vous aurez le choix entre : la négociation avec le marchand ou le combat contre des unités dans la province afin d’obtenir les reliques.

Dans chaque province, vous trouverez une armée qui dépendra, dans sa composition, du type de la province en question (acier, planches, soie etc…). À plus vous vous éloignerez de votre ville, à plus l’armée de la province sera imposante et sa combinaison d’unités, complexe. Comme pour vos propres unités, le nombre de combattants dans chaque province, dépendra du poids de chaque unité.
Par ailleurs, en visitant des provinces sur la [[Carte du monde]], vous allez découvrir d'autres unités que vous pouvez combattre. Leur apparition dépend surtout du type de province et de sa distance par rapport à votre cité.

=== Organisation de l’armée===

Afin de vous préparer pour la bataille, vous devrez d’abord organiser votre armée Sur le champ de bataille, chaque type d’unité sera regroupé dans une escouade. La taille de celle-ci augmentera avec chaque recherche « Amélioration de la taille de l'escouade » que vous débloquerez dans le menu recherche. Néanmoins, vous pourrez placer de 1 à 5 escouades sur le champ de bataille dès le début du jeu. Souvenez-vous en bien : plus on est de fous, plus on rit !
A l'exception de la première unité, qui est débloquée en même temps que la caserne, toutes les unités devront être recherchées via l'arbre des technologies. Vous pouvez également les améliorer en débloquant les recherches correspondant à leurs "promotions" respectives.

Une fois que vous aurez construit la [[Caserne]], vous pourrez découvrir en détail chaque unité, même celles qui n'ont pas encore été débloquées, en cliquant sur le bouton information [[File:Info-icon.png|Info]]. La fenêtre suivante s'affichera alors.


Vous serez en mesure d’enlever des escouades et de les remplacer tant que vous n’aurez pas commencer la bataille.

Vous placerez systématiquement une escouade entière sur le champ de bataille, à moins que vous ne disposiez pas d’assez d’[[Unités|unités]] dans une escouade pour la remplir. Dans ce cas-là, seule une escouade partielle sera placée.
Comme dit plus haut, les escouades ont une taille qui augmentera à travers l’ensemble du jeu. Plus l’escouade sera grande, plus les [[Unités|unités]] y seront nombreuses, accroissant ainsi sa puissance.

Vos ennemis disposeront également de différentes tailles d’escouades. La taille des escouades de vos ennemis augmentera avec chaque nouvelle province que vous explorerez mais aussi avec la distance par rapport à votre ville !

Sur le champ de bataille, vous trouverez des guerriers dans leur position de départ. Vos troupes sont sur la gauche et leur portée est indiquée en jaune. Vos adversaires sont sur la droite et leur portée est marquée en rouge.
Chaque escouade prend un hexagone sur le champ et ses possibilités de mouvements seront mises en évidence.

Parfois vous trouverez aussi quelques obstacles sur le champ de bataille, vous devrez donc développer différentes tactiques pour attaquer ou défendre en fonction. Si les [[Unités|unités]] dans l’escouade peuvent attaquer depuis une longue portée, elles peuvent aussi, évidemment, attaquer par-dessus les obstacles.

In Elvenar you will find 5 Classes of units: Light Melee, Short Ranged, Heavy Melee, Heavy Ranged and Mage.
Each Class has certain Unit Types assigned to it. For example: while Sword Dancers, Axe Barbarians, Cerberus and Orcs are different Unit Types, they all belong to the same Class: Light Melee.
They are all light close combat fighters, so, despite having different battle strategies, they will have similar values for hitpoints, damage, attack and defence bonuses.

Les bases

Il existe sur Elvenar 5 unités spécifiques aux deux races de départ qui peuvent être entraînées dans la Caserne. Les deux races de départ partagent également 10 unités supplémentaires qui peuvent être entraînées dans le Terrain d'entraînement et le Camp des mercenaires. Les unités humaines et elfiques sont de force égale, mais leurs stratégies varient. Chaque race démarre avec des unités de mêlée légères : chez les humains, elles sont fortes mais leur défense est faible, tandis que l'unité elfique est plus équilibrée. Par la suite, chaque race débloque des unités de courte portée, des mages, des unités de portée puis de mêlée lourde.

Par ailleurs, en visitant des provinces sur la Carte du monde, vous allez découvrir d'autres unités que vous pouvez combattre. Leur apparition dépend surtout du type de province et de sa distance par rapport à votre cité.

A l'exception de la première unité, qui est débloquée en même temps que la caserne, toutes les unités devront être recherchées via l'arbre des technologies. Vous pouvez également les améliorer en débloquant les recherches correspondant à leurs "promotions" respectives.

Informations sur les unités

Une fois que vous aurez construit la Caserne, vous pourrez découvrir en détail chaque unité, même celles qui n'ont pas encore été débloquées, en cliquant sur le bouton information Info. La fenêtre suivante s'affichera alors.

Chiffre Nom Icône Description
1 Niveau de l'unité Niveau de l'unité Chaque unité possède un niveau qui est indiqué dans l'onglet "Armée" de votre caserne. Vous pouvez voir le nombre d'étoiles en dessous de l'image de l'unité.
2 Type d'unité - Chaque type d'unité est assigné à une classe précise.
3 Classe de l’unité - Chaque classe décrit le groupe tactique principal auquel appartient le type de l’unité.
4 Efficace contre : - Ici vous voyez contre quelle classe d'unité l'unité sélectionné a des bonus. Il peut s'agir d'un bonus d'attaque et/ou de défense. Si vous passez votre souris sur l'icône, vous aurez plus d'informations. Plus il y a d'épées, plus l'unité est efficace contre ces classes d'unités !
5 Dégâts Dégâts Les dégâts infligés par une attaque sont déterminés au hasard, en fonction de l'intervalle de dommages possibles.
6 Points de vie Points de vie Points de vie par unité.
7 Portée d’attaque Portée d’attaque C’est la distance maximale que l’attaque d’une unité peut atteindre.
8 Distance de déplacement Distance de déplacement C’est le nombre de cases dans lesquelles une unité peut se déplacer en un tour.
9 Initiative Initiative L’unité avec le plus d’initiative sera en mesure d’attaquer la première à chaque tour du combat.
10 Poids Weight Les unités ont un poids différent. Plus le poids est grand, moins il y a besoin d’unités pour remplir une escouade. De même, plus le poids est important, plus il est difficile de tuer une unité au sein de son escouade lors d’une bataille.
11 Contre-attaquer Contre-attaquer Cette capacité permet à une unité de contre-attaquer automatiquement après avoir été attaquée en combat rapproché. Le chiffre indique combien de fois par tour complet l'unité peut contre-attaquer.
12 Capacités spéciales - Ce sont les sorts ou effets additionnels des attaques. Si vous survolez l’icône à l’aide de votre souris, vous en verrez la description détaillée.

Unit Classes

In Elvenar you will find 5 Classes of units: Light Melee, Short Ranged, Heavy Melee, Heavy Ranged and Mage.

Each Class has certain Unit Types assigned to it. For example: while Sword Dancers, Axe Barbarians, Cerberus and Orcs are different Unit Types, they all belong to the same Class: Light Melee. They are all light close combat fighters, so, despite having different battle strategies, they will have similar values for hitpoints, damage, attack and defence bonuses.

Special Abilities

Some units have special abilities to bring down enemies' defenses which will increase the damage done to them by the following units. Others have the power to reduce the enemies' attack strength in order to protect your troops. These abilities can be stacked on one another to do more damage or take less.
